Meandering through the Gardens

Being such a warm, beautiful and sunny night – my sister and brother in law decided to take a meander through the Dunedin Botanic Gardens and sent me a text to see if I would like to join them.

What a delightful evening we had, taking time to smell the roses, to look at the different varieties of flowers and plants, and just enjoy wandering along the many tracks – some went over little bridges, others along stony paths.

Dunedin is blessed to have such a beautiful area of gardens, it goes for a long way, and is sited on a sunny slope at the north end of the city, not far from where I live.

One tree loomed in front of us as we walked. The trunk was straight and tall. I got my sister to stand in front of it, just to give some perspective:
