Hello world!

What a great day for a stroll up along the Matukituki River.  A little snow still on the tops made for good views all around.

I did learn though that it is important to put sunscreen behind my knees … they were the only part of me that showed ‘red’ after the day’s jaunt.

West Matukituki River

I strolled marveling at God’s wonderful creation – the beautiful mountains, the rivers, each bird, and the lovely people I met along the way.

For me, time spent near mountains or lakes is a perfect time to commune or meditate. Away from the city lights, away from the grind of the daily job. Its a time when conversation between God and me flows freely. Sometimes I have been known to sing, but this time I respected the company I was with, and hummed to myself …

I look forward to my next stroll – and will put more photos up as I learn more about blogging.
