A delightful afternoon was had by all as we saw the sights and beach scenes around Oamaru and Kakanui in the double-decker bus.
Clear blue skies after a cloudy start made for some perfect scenes and of course, warmth.
Mum was able to be out of hospital for the occasion of her and Dads 60th wedding anniversary. She was able to enjoy the festivities – before going back in again.
Although many of the relatives were unable to make it due to their own health or distance, those of us who did enjoyed the fellowship as we caught up on the changes in our lives since the last time we were together.
For some of us it was probably ten years ago at my parents 50th anniversary!
